First step. Register for a shoot in Canada and request a letter of invitation to shoot with your name(s).

Complete and Fax with your letter to the BC Chief Firearms Officer for BC
Only restricted weapons need to be on this form (pistols and AR15's)
25 to 32 calibre pistols are not allowed into Canada.
Pistols with 4 in or less barrels are not allowed into Canada

When you get to the border your pistols must each have a trigger lock and be locked in a pistol case.
The Non-Resident Firearms Declaration (Form CAFC 909 EF),
http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/form-formulaire/num-nom/909-eng.htm
and its continuation sheet (Form CAFC 910 EF) must be presented in triplicate,
unsigned, to a customs officer at your first point of entry into Canada.
This form must have all firearms listed.
